Brother William of Baskerville, Franciscan brother and famous scholar, was called to an Abbey in the Italian mountains to prepare for a crucial meeting between Michael of Cesena (leader of Spiritual Franciscans), and the Papal legation led by Cardinal Bertrand del Poggetto. Upon his arrival he discovered a bizarre string of murders taking place. Each day that week a different monk was found dead. By the end of the week Brother William had disappeared, leaving you, his Benedictine novice Adso of Melk, to solve the case with only a few scraps of paper he left in his cell. Each paper is marked with one of the locations in the Abbey. The Abbot and his notable guests depend on you to solve the crime.
